About the Film

"Join or Die" examines the concerning decline in civic participation across the United States and highlights effective strategies for revitalizing community organizations and fostering a stronger sense of belonging among residents. You can view the trailer here.

Two Ways to Participate

1. Attend as a Group

If you'd like to encourage your members to attend the screening, please let us know an approximate headcount so we can ensure adequate seating. This is a perfect opportunity for your members to be inspired and to connect with other community-minded individuals.

2. Host an Information Table

We're providing space in the Heyde Center entry for civic organizations to set up information tables. This is an excellent opportunity to:

  • Showcase your organization's mission and activities
  • Recruit new members
  • Network with other community groups
  • Connect directly with engaged community members

Next Steps

Please email gzastoupil@wisc.edu by Friday, March 14, 2025 with:

  • Whether your organization would like to attend (with approximate headcount)
  • If you'd like to host an information table
  • Any questions you might have about the event

Together, we can strengthen the civic fabric of our community and create more opportunities for meaningful engagement in Chippewa County.

Our goal is to feature as many organizations as possible that community members can JOIN, creating a one-stop opportunity for citizens looking to become more involved in Chippewa County.
