For many of our members, the first things they think of when they hear the word “Chamber” are networking and events. Those are indeed the visible undertakings and attract the most attention, and they are an important part of supporting our businesses. However, much of our work occurs behind the scenes. This month we are highlighting efforts the Chamber is involved in with regards to Workforce Attraction and Relocation. 

Reaching beyond our region of Wisconsin, the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce is actively seeking skilled workers from other areas to help meet the needs of our members. Our Workforce Attraction Campaign utilizes targeted digital marketing to attract families and young professionals to the Chippewa Falls area. The campaign directs the audience to the Living in Chippewa Falls page on our website where they learn more about what we already know – that Chippewa Falls is a great place to grow a family and a business!

Known for its natural beauty and local charm, the Chippewa Falls area offers some advantages over surrounding urban areas including:

  • Lower cost of living

  • Abundant outdoor recreation opportunities
  • Strong community bonds

Expanding on some of the resources already used by our Tourism Division, the Chamber highlights our area’s ample amenities which is a bonus for us because people often choose a region in which to live for the same reasons they like to visit. The Living in Chippewa Falls page of the website features fun videos of our area as well as a place to request additional information about local attractions, careers, or relocation. We respond by offering a real live person to answer questions or provide assistance.

Not only does the Chamber provide relocation assistance to individuals and families outside our area who are considering a move, we can help you and your business. If you have a job candidate or a new hire – or perhaps you are selling a house to someone coming from out of the area – we can help provide a warm welcome by tailoring a relocation packet and/or coordinating or leading a personal community tour specifically for them. Chamber staff can create a customized welcome experience, help foster connections, and put together a relocation packet with helpful information including:
