Marine Credit Union donates to Feed My People Food Bank

Marine Credit Union (MCU) is proud to announce a $9,200 donation through the MCU Foundation to Feed My People Food Bank, marking the start of an exciting partnership to launch the organization’s Farm to Food Bank program. This initiative will connect small-scale farmers with more than 250 food bank locations across Wisconsin, delivering fresher produce to those in need while simultaneously supporting local agricultural communities.

Marine Credit Union has made a two-year commitment to supporting this program, with the initial funds helping to cover the costs of a semi-truck needed to transport fresh produce from farms to food pantries. Programs like this innovative new initiative from Feed My People ensure families in need have access to fresh, nutritious food and foster economic sustainability for local farmers.

“This partnership aligns with our mission to uplift communities and empower individuals through collaboration and support,” said Marie Jacobsen, Eau Claire Community Lead for MCU. “Together, we’re ensuring no one in our communities goes hungry.”

Marine Credit Union’s partnership with Feed My People began in 2024, with MCU staff volunteering on-site to distribute food and share financial education resources. MCU will expand its involvement in 2025 by offering financial literacy workshops at our Financial Empowerment Center as well as other non-profit partner locations while also exploring additional virtual education opportunities to reach the community further.

This donation is one example of Marine Credit Union’s commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. At MCU, our mission is to advance people’s lives from a place of financial need, and giving back to our communities is central to that purpose. Each year, our teams embrace the power of giving by committing resources, time and compassion to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
