Salary Threshold Rule Overturned

On Friday, November 15, 2024, a federal judge in the Eastern District of Texas vacated the Department of Labor (“DOL”)’s 2024 overtime exemption salary rule under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”), including the already-implemented July 1, 2024 salary threshold increase (the “2024 Rule”).
The ruling completely invalidates the 2024 Rule nationwide for all covered employers.
