CVTC Earns Gold Military Friendly Status by National Org

EAU CLAIRE – Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) has been named a 2025-2026 gold-ranked Military Friendly School® by the Military Friendly® organization. This marks an historic and prestigious honor as this is the first year CVTC has achieved gold status.

Military Friendly’s standard measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community.

“CVTC offers a wide range of benefits to help military veterans and their families achieve academic success,” said Cody Dennis, CVTC Veteran Advisor and School Certifying Official. “In addition to a dedicated advisor to help students accomplish their educational goals, we also offer service member priority registration, state and federal education benefits support, Veterans Day activities, service member graduation designation, and free services for community veterans at our Give Vets a Smile event, to name a few."

The Military Friendly School designation highlights how well schools support military students. Military Friendly gold designation is awarded to the top 20 percent of schools that exceed elite criteria. It recognizes institutions that go above and beyond to support military students.

“This honor underscores our commitment to providing top-notch education and support to our military community,” said CVTC President Sunem Beaton-Garcia. “At CVTC, we recognize the invaluable contributions and sacrifices of our service members, veterans and their families. We remain dedicated to offering resources, flexibility and opportunities they need to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.”
