Grant Impacts Revealed at Annual Social

CHIPPEWA FALLS – Over 140 charities and nonprofits across Chippewa County received grants from the Community Foundation of Chippewa County in the past year. The results of these projects will be presented to the community on October 22 at the Lake Wissota Golf Club.

Presented by the Community Foundation of Chippewa County, the Seedlings to Shade Trees annual social honors the philanthropic passion of charities and fundholders. The evening will feature presentations by Literacy Chippewa Valley and the Healthcare Workforce Training Center, highlighting how their grant projects have successfully addressed critical community needs. The Foundation will also recognize new funds and give a special welcome to endowment fundholders.

Chippewa County's people and resources have been supported by the Community Foundation’s grantmaking since 2001. Through the management of endowment funds and grant distributions, the Community Foundation responds to today’s charitable needs, and those of many generations to come. Endowment funds are managed for long-term growth and grants are distributed annually to verified nonprofits and charities in good standing.

“Our annual social is an opportunity to experience and understand the impact of philanthropy in Chippewa County,” encourages executive director Jill Herriges, “especially for those who have considered opening a fund, and want to see what impact they could make.”

Seedlings to Shade Trees is sponsored by several local businesses that are invested in the success of Chippewa County. Tickets are available at www.yourlegacyforever.org, with an RSVP date of October 14.
