YMCA of the Chippewa Valley to host free fishing event in Chippewa Falls

The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is excited to announce their upcoming community event in celebration of Wisconsin's Free Fishing Weekend.  This family-friendly event will be hosed at the scenic Erickson Park on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The YMCA is inviting individuals and families of all ages to "Get Hooked, Learn to Fish," a day dedicated to learning and enjoying the sport of fishing.  Attendees will ahve the opportunity to receive hands-on fishing instruction from local fishing experts, gain valuable tips and techniques, and participate in various activities throughout the day.
Highlights of the event include:

• Complimentary Zebco fishing poles for attendees, available while supplies last.
• Free bait provided to help you reel in your catch.
• Expert advice and assistnace from YMCA volunteers.
• Demonstrations on casting, knot typing and fish cleaning.

This event is open to the public and encourages people of all ages to embrace the joys of fishing and the natural beauty of Chippewa Falls.  Whether you're a seasoned angler, or new to the sport, this is the perfect way to kick off the fishing season.
