WESTconsin Credit Union to Host Spring Food Drive

WESTERN, WI—WESTconsin Credit Union is calling on the community to support those facing food insecurity by giving to their Spring Food Drive. From Monday, March 10, through Saturday, March 22, all WESTconsin offices will collect non-perishable food items, as well as monetary donations that can be given in-office or over the phone.

All donations will go toward filling the shelves of 14 different community partners across the credit union’s service area. Monetary donations are especially powerful, as local food pantries can stretch every dollar to purchase up to $10 worth of food, making an even greater impact. Last year’s generosity from members and the community allowed WESTconsin to donate 1,408 food items and over $2,750.

WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Pine, Ramsey, Scott, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
