Philanthropy Remains Strong in Chippewa County
CHIPPEWA FALLS – A record number of guests attended the philanthropy event of the year on October 22 at Lake Wissota Golf and Events. Hosted by the Community Foundation of Chippewa County, the impact event appeals to local nonprofits, businesses, and individuals who engage in charitable giving and granting.

Executive Director Jill Herriges said, “Philanthropy creates an endless circle of caring, and bonds our communities together.”

Chippewa County coordinates donations and sustains endowments to benefit people, nonprofits and charitable organizations in Chippewa County. The impact event honors the philanthropic generosity that supports the area.

Mary Randall, Community Foundation Board Member said, “Grants are the voice, the heart and the soul of our work.”
Randall announced Linda Bergan, former board member, active volunteer, and Lake Holcombe resident as the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award. The Award signifies exceptional commitment and a significant contribution to the Foundation.

“Linda deeply cares for the people and organizations in Chippewa County. She is a true servant leader,” Randall said.

Charitable funds established through the Community Foundation are invested for long-term growth while providing continued grants that meet local needs. Eleven charitable funds were opened last year, and 3 reached endowment level; totaling 295 funds. Those who opened funds were honored and applauded by their family, friends and community.

The Foundation released its Annual Report on the same evening, publishing the list of fundholders and their fundholder stories. The report is available at yourlegacyforever.org.

Denna Grangaard, who oversees the coordination and execution of the annual report and the organization's premiere event, said, "Tonight stands as a testament to the power of giving. Together, we don't just raise funds—we raise hope and build a brighter future for Chippewa County."
